Good afternoon, everyone! We are completely ice-free and ready for enthusiastic faces at our store on Seagull Lake! We are open 8 am to 5 pm daily for your outfitting needs, and all six cabins are able to be reserved for the 2018 season as well. Book soon, however, as we are filling FAST.

For guests that are planning to paddle on the Canadian side in the upcoming weeks, we have received word that there is a fire ban in place in the Quetico Park effective immediately. No campfires allowed… so plan on renting a camp stove or bring your own and always exercise caution when operating in dry conditions. No fire restrictions in the BWCAW at this time.

We have welcomed a handful of new staff members to our team over the past few weeks. Be sure to say hello to TJ, Mike, Nate, Nick, Amber, and Sarah when you see them. Nick (another one, we know!) and Liz will arrive this weekend, and then we’ll have the full team! We’re so excited for you all to meet them all.

Tia has returned for her third season at Seagull, and Brittney has returned for her fifth season. Thank you to both of these individuals for their continued service!

We’ve seen quite a few moose around the Seagull store and have posted photos/videos on Facebook to show everyone. Not much for bugs yet… we expect that bugs will increase with the warmer temps. Right now, plan on mosquitoes around sunset and be prepared with some bug spray.

Until next time… happy paddling!
