Menu Choices

The following is the menu from which your food package will be chosen. Please follow the directions and fill out accordingly. Upon completion of the menu, hit the Submit Menu Request button which will automatically email your menu to us. We will reply to you to ensure that we received your menu and will be in touch with you if we have any questions. Please send this in to us NO LATER than FOUR weeks prior to your arrival. (We will make selections for you if not received by this time). We purchase our food from Alpine Aire, Cache Lake Foods, Backpacker’s Pantry, Natural High and our local Gunflint Trail Camp Chow food.

Please note: The same meal is packed for everyone in the party. Please put a 1 next to a meal you wish to have, as a group, one time. Please put a 2 by a meal you wish your party to eat twice on the trip, and so on. Beverages may be indicated individually- one person may select coffee, one may select cocoa, one may select tea.

Please note these tips when selecting your food menu!

  • Fresh food adds a ton of weight to your food pack. Fresh food also takes more time to prepare and clean up.
  • All of the items with an asterisk * are easy to prepare and much lighter in weight than fresh food. Keep in mind that we would not have the asterisk items on the menu if they were not tasty.
  • We pack pre-cooked bacon and sausage to save weight and preparation time out in the woods.

  • We are sending out fresh eggs only upon request as they are perishable and heavy.
  • Remember that we will pack it if you want to carry it!

All of your frozen and fresh food items are in our refrigerators and freezers until the morning you start your trip. These foods are then placed into a soft sided cooler and then placed inside your food pack. You should eat these foods early in your trip.

Wooden stick matches, fire starters, toilet paper, paper towels, pot scrubbers, dish soap, dish sponge, potholders, Dr. Bronner’s biodegradable personal soap & extra trash bags. For Quetico trips we also include a fire grate and latrine trowel.
