Birder's Checklist

A guest of ours, Steve Volkening, is a serious birdwatcher. He’s been compiling a list of birds he’s spotted while on canoe trips with us since 1997.  The birds marked by an asterisk were seen on Seagull Outfitter’s property, either the area immediately around the office and bunkhouse or at our Sag Cabins located on the Sag Corridor. The unmarked species were seen on canoe trips in the Boundary Waters or Quetico parks. These birds are listed in the order created by the American Ornithological Society that is used in most field guides. You may want to print it out and use it for your next visit.  (The list was lasted updated in Feb, 2012)
